As a servicer, organization, and partner, it’s more important than ever to continue engaging with your audience. Fortunately, technology allows us to follow social distancing guidelines and remain engaged with our audience on the other side of the screen during quarantine. Here are five tips to ensure you are communicating well with your audience.

Update your “Google My Business” info

If you are operating remotely, enforcing safety protocols, or implementing adjusted hours of operation, make sure this information is readily available. This is vital for your business. It allows customers and potential customers to easily access operation changes that affect their customer experience.

Increase interaction

An easy way to increase interaction with your audience if to focus on social media engagement. Let your audience know you are still there and interested in hearing from them. Post status updates, share photos, and give your page some TLC. In return, you audience will feel more engaged and closer to your brand.

Re-evaluate your strategic plan

It’s important to revisit or even create your strategic plan. In doing this, it will make pivoting a smoother process. When you have a plan, bumps along the way aren’t as detrimental.

Try alternative ways to fundraise

Crowd-funding has been very successful for many non-profit organizations. Set-up an account, create a campaign, and tell a compelling story involving the subject of your campaign.

Revisit your value proposition

Don’t lose sight of what sets your organization apart from others. Make sure you continue to deliver that same value. It may even be time to conduct an internal audit to make sure you are doing everything you can to set your organization apart from the competition.

Now that you have a starting point, pick a tip, and begin working on it. Remember, this is a process. The most important thing to remember when trying to increase customer engagement is not to tackle too much at one time. If you do, you’ll likely lose sight of your goals and who your audience is.
