Beginning in January 2018, TrailBlaze Creative is seeking a multi-talented web design intern to assist with a website rebuild and relaunch project for a non-profit association client. The right candidate will be a WordPress expert, preferably with experience building with the Divi theme.
We’re looking for someone who will create and organize content effectively; troubleshoot code, hosting, and domain issues as they arise (VERY IMPORTANT); review, recommend, and install WordPress plugins to improve site functionality and security; Search Engine Optimization; assisting with online marketing efforts (submission to search engines, building Google Maps/Plus/Business presence, etc.); and graphic design capability to help with website imagery and media to optimize load times and improve visual clarity.
We need an intern that is solid in many areas, not just great at one thing.
You must be adaptable and flexible to changing project conditions. The individual will be working remotely, and therefore must have a computer of their own to work on with limited supervision by TrailBlaze. Occasional project update meetings and calls with TrailBlaze leadership are also expected and will be arranged as needed.
This is an internship opportunity, therefore TrailBlaze will only consider students currently enrolled in classes or students beginning coursework in January 2018. No freelancers please.
Compensation will be discussed based on current TrailBlaze internship compensation rates.
Please email resume, design/writing samples, URLs, and a statement of how you meet the needs of our position description to firstname.lastname@example.org. Please indicate anticipated availability per week and desired start/end dates of internship.
