EmployHER Pittsburgh is a new initiative between Dress for Success, When She Thrives, and New Century Careers aimed at “removing the barriers that lack of access to adequate transportation and child care create for so many local women by bringing multiple nonprofit organizations to the communities of the women being served on a regular basis,” according to Tanya Vokes, CEO of Dress for Success Pittsburgh.

After launching the initiative, EmployHER quickly began looking for someone to provide technical and creative support during the CRM identification process and to create the CRM structure / environment that was ideal for their initiative.

EmployHER Pittsburgh is an initiative between Dress for Success, When She Thrives, and New Century Careers aimed at “removing the barriers that lack of access to adequate transportation and child care create for so many local women by bringing multiple nonprofit organizations to the communities of the women being served on a regular basis,” according to Tanya Vokes, CEO of Dress for Success Pittsburgh.

After launching the initiative, EmployHER quickly began looking for someone to provide technical and creative support during the CRM identification process and to create the CRM structure / environment that was ideal for their initiative. The EmployHER Initiative is focused on helping women get the support and resources they need to successfully navigate the job market. The first event, held in September of 2022, was aimed at partnering women with Success Partners who would strategically help them overcome barriers within the workplace.

In order to successfully manage the initiative, EmployHER needed a CRM system that would not only pair EP Participants with the right Success Partner, but also support relationship building between the EP Participants and their Success Partners. They hired TrailBlaze Creative to help them choose the right CRM system for their initiative and assist in setting up the conditional logic used in the EP Participant-Success Partner matching process and establishing language for communication workflows.

Once TrailBlaze Creative was hired, we demoed 15+ different CRM systems in order to find the best long-term solution for EmployHER. Ultimately, we settled on the one that would provide the most user-friendly platform with all the necessary features that would benefit the initiative for years to come.

TrailBlaze developed a conditional logic form that matches participants with the right Support Partner based on their individual needs and resources. Once the partners are assigned, we programmed the CRM system to help the EP Participants with everything they would need including video conferencing, scheduling time on their Support Partner’s calendar, relevant resources, and more.

We also provided EmployHER staff with technical support and training so they could establish themselves within the program and know how to best use the platform for their initiative’s needs. After launching the CRM System, it serves as a continued tool for the EmployHer program in order to ensure that the program continues to succeed. It is utilized by community members who are looking for resources and support in bettering themselves and their careers.

TrailBlaze helped EmployHER to realize their goals of impacting women across the city of Pittsburgh and we developed a platform that allows women to reach their goals with the necessary assistance and proper mentorship that allow them to succeed in their given position.
